Randall Garrett Herzon is the Founder of Kritter Kountry ~ Kare for all Kritters, setting the trend in the pet service care field. Randall founded Kritter Kountry in 1996 in Los Angeles County as a San Fernando Valley Area local pet sitting, dog walking, and animal training service. Having lived the majority of his life in the LA area, Randall opted for a more natural setting and re-located to Humboldt County and re-launched his business. In his current capacity, Randall oversees all Kritter Kountry operations, as well provides one on one pet care services to all his clients.
Randall has 30 years experience working with wild, exotic and domestic animals. Prior to founding Kritter Kountry, he worked as an animal trainer for motion pictures and television, and as a certified Registered Veterinary Technician in California and Oregon. In addition he is a certified animal behaviorist and nutritional advisor. His field work has included marine mammal, wild animal and domestic animal rescue and rehabilitation.
Dubbed the Pet Mentalist, Randall has presented his Pet Seminar Series on diet & nutrition, health care and behavior & training throughout California, as well as one on one phone/email consultations nationwide.
His passion for animals and nature spills over from the field and is represented in his writing, animal/nature photography, and wildlife art. His poetry has won several awards and have been published in poetry anthologies. His photography and artwork have been on display and is available in limited production.
Most recently Randall established the Whisker Kisses Koalition, a non-profit corporation dedicated to provide rescue, rehabilitiation and safe haven for cats, exotic pets and wildlife that have been abused, abandoned, injured or confiscated.
Randall received his Bachelor's of Science Degree in Wildlife Management from Humboldt State University, an Associate in Science Degree in Exotic Animal Training and Management from Moorpark College, and an Associate in Science Degree in Veterinary Technology from Pierce College.
